1 Copyright Research and Information Center (CRIC)

Introduces the activities of the Center, copyright system, copyright law, WIPO copyright treaty, and news.

2 Customs Intellectual Property Information Center (CIPIC)

Offers information regarding the protection of Intellectual Property Rights mainly on the border control, including latest import suspension, related laws, publication, seminars, etc.

3 Expert Panel on Management of Intellectual Properties

Shows the results and proposals of the Expert Panels discussing strategies of intellectual properties. Also provides a list of panels.

4 Industrial Property Digital Library (IPDL)

Offers the public access to IP Gazettes of the Japan Patent Office free of charge. This service aims to contribute to the general public in retrieving basic information regarding the Patent law. Basic information in gazettes can also be retrieved and used in English. Covers patents and utility models, trademarks and designs.

8 International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property of Japan (AIPPI.Japan)

Introduces the activities of the Association of Japan, the world's largest national group, Switzerland-based International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). This is the world's largest intellectual property-related organization; its activities spread over about 100 countries.

9 J-STORE; JST Science and Technology Research Result Database for Enterprise Development

Provides research results of universities, national research institutes and JST that are licensable to private companies to help promote faster commercialization of them. Includes information on not only unpublished patents of less than 18 months after application in Japan but PCT publications and US patents.

10 Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII)

Introduces the Institute, which encourages invention, enhances original ideas, promotes the practical use of them, and diffuses and develops the industrial property system in order to advance science and technology and contribute to the development of economy in Japan.

11 Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA)

Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) is a non-profit, non-governmental and the largest intellectual property rights (IPR) users' organization in the world working to promote rational, fair and effective protection of IPR. The website introduces the activities of JIPA including the latest topics and information on this organization and on IPR protection.

12 National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training (INPITI)

Website of the NCIPI providing comprehensive information on industrial property. The contents include articles from official gazettes on industrial property, consultations on industrial property, introduction of the Japan Patent Office's industrial property reference materials, and how to utilize licensable patents.

13 Patent Salon

Provides information of all sorts regarding intellectual property. Covers human resources and outsourcing opportunities, articles and books, seminars and events, and patent-related links.

14 PATOLIS; Patent On-line Information System

A fee-based full text retrieval service of patent information, utilizing Japan's largest patent information retrieval system. The sources of this database are gazettes of the patents and the utility models issued by the Japan Patent Office and latest bibliographic information.

15 Software Information Center (SOFTIC)

Introduces the activities of the Center established to promote improvement of information technology (IT) infrastructure for a healthy development of an advanced IT society through research and education related to software products, registration of copyrightable programs, etc.
