CiRA Founded as Japan's Core Institute to Further Advance iPS cell Research

Kyoto University founded the Center for iPS Cell Research and Applicationt (CiRA) under the auspices of the iCeMS in January 2008 to further advance iPS cell research and applications.
The CiRA, in collaboration with other departments in Kyoto University such as the Institute for Frontier Medical Sciences and the Graduate School of Medicine, aims at clinical applications of iPS cells at the earliest stage possible.
It also provides information on iPS cell protocol and so on at the website.

Panasonic EVOLTA Robot Scales Grand Canyon

Panasonic's EVOLTA battery robot scaled a 530 meter cliff at the Grand Canyon, on 24 May 2008. The robot was designed by robot creater Tomotaka Takahashi, ROBO-GARAGE.
