Humanoid robots

Humanoid robots refer to robots that are shaped like humans and can walk on two legs. Japanese manufacturers have created such robots as ASIMO (Honda Motor Co.), TPR (Toyota Motor Corp.) and QRIO (Sony). Some of these robots can play musical instruments, while others can ride bicycles. Because of their human-like form, they are regarded not just as machines but also as partners for human beings. They can potentially advancing research on various human functions as well.
