150-inch television

Matsushita Electric has launched a plasma TV set with the world’s largest screen, measuring 1.9 meters high 3.3 meters wide. The resolution is equivalent to 4 times that of the standard for full high-definition television. Because of this, even a screen as large as this has no blurring. Until now, the largest screen on a commercially available plasma television was 103 inches (1.3 meters by 2.3 meters), marketed in 2006. Matsushita Electric hopes to start selling the 150-inch set in 2009.
