Abstract;Calix[4]arene derivatives Ia-d or IIa-d, which have two thymines or two adenines moieties on their lower rim, were synthesized. Their hydrogen-bonding ability was estimated by measurement of 1H-NMR spectra in CDCl3. Calix[4]arene bearing two thymine moieties on its upper rim was also synthesized. (author abst.)
