Abstract;Photochemical study of hydroquinone and sulfonated derivative of hydroquinone has been previously done by us with an EPR and a time-resolved EPR under UV irradiation in aqueous media. Transient anion radicals of corresponding these quinone were observed which have to be created by molecular photoreduction: proton and electron release. Here we report another results with xanthone and anthraquinone which are known as a good triplet photo-sensityzer within the aqueous micellar solution of nonionic surfactant. Obtained EPR results gave us a fact of an interesting interaction between molecules only in the aqueous micellar solution. Spin polarized transient radical of respective quinone was detected by a time-resolved EPR: a sign of the polarization reflects photo-excited states of used sensitizer. (author abst.)
