Abstract;Various industry sectors have been concerning CALS which supports total life cycle of products. In the architecture industry, IAI(International Alliance for Interoperability) has been defining IFC(Industry Foundation Classes) as standard data specifications to be shared by CAD systems, cost estimation systems and so on through architecture life cycle. The authors made comprehensible language BDL(Building Design Language) specific to architecture structure. They also developed a system for generating CAD systems automatically from the language. This paper reports an implementation experiment of model conversion from IFC having generalized data model to domain-specific BDL. (author abst.)
