Abstract;A 78-year-old male underwent endoscopic mucosal resection for early gastric cancer (type IIa) in the anterior wall of antrum. Follow-up endoscopy showed another early gastric cancer (type IIc) in the posterior wall of cardia. He refused an operation. UFT-E 300mg/day has been administered daily since then. After 6 months, a complete tumor response was observed. The patient has been in good health without any sign of relapse for 14 months after achievement of the complete response. (author abst.)
