Abstract;A new species of Tricyrtis, T. viridula, is described from south and southeast China. It is similar to Tricyrtis pilosa, T. affinis and T. setouchiensis, but the stem and the leaves are almost glabrous in contrast to the hairy ones of the latter three species. The flowers of T. viridula are rather small and the perianth has pale orange spots on the adaxial side just bellow the patent point. This species appears to have been identified with T. pilosa or T. macropoda previously. (author abst.)
