| Abstract;A reaction of tris(t-butyldimethylsilyl)silyllithium with di-t-butylcyclopropenone gave 1,2-di-t-butyl-4,4-bis(t-butyldimethylsilyl)-4-silatriafulvene 1 as air and moisture sensitive yellow crystals. A significantly high field shift of the unsaturated silicon(.DELTA.Si=-72ppm) in 29Si NMR indicates the substantial contribution of a zwitterionic resonance structure containing cyclopropenium ion and silyl anion. Thermolysis of 1 at 70.DEG.C. results in isomerization to the corresponding silacyclobutadiene derivative, which is trapped by t-butyl alcohol. (author abst.) |
