Abstract;Treatment of n-Hex2SiFCl with 1 equiv of Grignard(RMgBr) and organolithium reagents(RLi) gave n-Hex2SiRF, exclusively. None of n-Hex2SiRCl was obtained. Selective hydrolysis of n-Hex2SiFCl gave n-Hex2SiF-O-Si(n-Hex)2F which was treated with 5,5'-dilithio-2,2'-bithiophene to give a siloxane-bithiophene alternating polymer. (author abst.)
