| Abstract;A stable cyclic dialkylgermylene (1) was synthesized by reductive dechlorination of the corresponding dichlorogermane (6) with sodium. Germylene 1 was observed by variable-temperature UV-vis spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography to have a monomeric structure both in solution and in the solid state. (author abst.) |
