| Abstract;With respect to ISO14001, the Ministry of Construction had investigated its application examples to public works in overseas and examined the introduction methods of it into public works in Japan since July, 1995, and since FY 1997, the ministry has been conducting an ISO14001 model project which actually constructs and operates an environmental management system in accordance with ISO14001 in construction offices of its Regional Construction Bureaus.This paperdescribes the outline of ISO14001 and its certification acquisition situation inlocal governments and presents the outline and examples of the ISO14001 model project in the ministry. |
