Abstract;A system (ST Linus) to detect the leachate from the water interception sheetof a control-type waste final disposal site was developed. This system is one ofelectric-type leakage detection systems and is an economical and highly reliable system which identifies the leakage position of the water interception sheet by electric measurement by using a sensor incorporated into the water interception sheet. This paper presnts the outline of this system, repair methods when water leakage is found and an example where this system is applied to a non-industrial waste final disposal site in Nagano Prefecture.
