| Abstract; This paper suggests that it is necessary for the purification of closed water- areas not only to dredge and remove bottom mud but also to take comprehensivepurification measures including natural purification and effective utilization of dredged bottom mud depending on conditions of the areas. As an example of thebottom mud treatment work where mechanical dehydration processing of dredged soil and its effective utilization were performed, the paper presents dredging work of Lake "Yu no Ko" which is a sight-seeing site in Tochigi Prefecture andalso dredging work of Benkei Bori where the bottom mud processing by mechanical dehydration was conducted in a narrow space adjoining a downtown in the city center. |
