Abstract;This paper classifies major factors of the displacement affecting to the peripheral ground in a soil improvement. Displacement generation mechanisms in soil stabilization methods such as a deep-soil improvement method, a deep-soil mixing method, and chemical grouting, areas affected by the displacement, a countermeasure against displacement, and present states of the displacement prediction are described. Comparison cases of the displacement situations of the peripheral grounds according to the placing orders in the mechanical-agitating deep-layer mixing treatment works are also introduced.
