| Abstract;This paper presents failure examples concerning pressure gages. In the case of safety control of a heating furnace by differential pressure across an orifice, the reason why temperature is not measured but differential pressure is measured is described. This paper shows examples of a heating furnace around a distillation column and the burning control system. Features of this system is that burning control is conducted by PdC-PC cascade by differential pressure (PdC) across an eccentric orifice installed in the exit of a heating furnace. This paper presents the case where TC can not be used, and the DIR/REV of a PdC controller. |
