Abstract;P control has a theoretical limit that offset remains. It is proved by the use of the theorem of the last value of Laplace transform that integral control action is necessary in order to remove the offset. This paper explains PI action and integral time, characteristics and effects of I action, points requiring attention in the application of I action, and learning from the paradigm of PI action.
