| Abstract; The antigenicity potential of amrubicin hydrochloride(SM-5887) was examined by intradermal reaction and active systemic anaphylaxis(ASA) with guinea pigs, and passive cutaneous anaphylaxis(PCA) and gel precipitation test using sera obtained from sensitized guinea pigs. Following results were obtained: 1) Intradermal reaction. No erythema and edema were observed in the guinea pigs sensitized with SM-5887 by induction with SM-5887. 2) Active systemic anaphylaxis reaction. No ASA reactions were observed in the guinea pigs sensitized with SM-5887 by induction with SM-5887. 3) Passive cutaneous anaphylaxis reaction. In the PCA test using sera obtained from the guinea pigs sensitized with SM-5887, no blue spots due to leakage of evans blue to subcutaneous tissues were observed by the induction with SM-5887. 4) Gel precipitation test. No precipitin line were observed between SM-5887 and the sera from the guinea pigs sensitized with SM-5887. Based on the above findings, its is concluded that SM-5887 does not have antigenic potential in guinea pigs. (author abst.) |
