| Abstract;Generation sources, classification, characteristics, control, processing and disposal of radioactive waste are outlined. This paper reports the present state of /processing/disposal of radioactive waste in Japan on the basis of cases. Fundamentally, technology to decontaminate by confining noxious radioactive materials by barriers such as special containers, concrete facilities and earthen cover layer is adopted. Part of restoration technique of radioactive ray contaminated soil in foreign countries is introduced. |
