Abstract; The technology is aimed at melting and solidifying polluted soil in situ by high temperature heat generated by inserting an electrode in the soil to energize for the purpose of removing toxicity from combined pollution soil. Thus insitu restoration of environment is attempted. The following are introduced: Outline and characteristics of technology, processing effect on remvoal of various contaminants, construction cases in the U.S.A. and main application results in Japan.
