| Abstract;Decrat was given to 30 patients with a variety of intractable cutaneous ulcer(28 with decubitus and 2 with lower leg ulcer) for 6 to 12 weeks to determine its efficacy, safety and usefulness. In global efficacy evaluation of 6-week administration, 4 subjects(13.8%) were "markedly effective", 6(20.7%) were "effective", and efficacy rate was 34.5%(10/29). In safety evaluation, 29 out of 30 subjects were "no problem", and safety rate was 96.7%. One was "slightly problem", and discontinued the administration due to the claim of pain in the topically applied area, but recovered with-out any treatment 3 days later. In global usefulness evaluation, which was based on the result of global efficacy evaluation and safety evaluation, 4(13.8%) were "markedly useful", 7(24.1%) were "useful", 14(48.3%) were "slightly useful", and usefulness rate was 37.9%(11/29). These results were found to be sufficient in treating intractable cutaneous ulcer. In global efficacy evaluation at the time of termination of the administration(expanded periods, maximum for 12 weeks), 4(13.8%) were "markedly effective", 6(20.7%) were "effective", and efficacy rate was 34.5%(10/29). In safety evaluation, 29 out of 30 subjects were "no problem", and safety rate was 96.7%. In global usefulness evaluation based on the above result, 4(13.8%) were "markedly useful", 7(24.1%) were "useful", 16(55.2%) were "slightly useful", and usefulness rate was 37.9%(11/29). It is concluded that Decrat is a markedly useful drug for the treatment of intractable cutaneous ulcer. (author abst.) |
