Abstract;Recently, rechargeable batteries have been widely used for compact electronic devices such as an electric shaver and a cordless telephone. A detachable transformer is used in the non-contact charging system. The detachable transformer has low coupling factor, and has leakage inductance. To make the system size more smaller, two kinds of technology are required. One is improvement of the coupling factor of the detachable transformer, and the other is the load matching of the circuit. This paper describes the basic circuits of the non-contact charging system. The technologies of improvement of the coupling factor and the effect of load matching using a capacitor connected to the secondary coil are also presented. (author abst.)
