Abstract;Mitsui Mining Co., Ltd. developed a dioxin removal equipment using activated coke. On the equipment, the following items are introduced: (1) history of development, (2) outline of equipment, and (3) performance. On (1), the data on active coke used for adsorbent is shown. As a system,the equipment is based on the dry process desulfurization-denitration equipment. On (2), the moving bed (circulation) method and the fixed bed method are explained. According to the scale of incinerator and the conditions of exhaust gas, they may be selected. On (3), the measurement results using a moving-bed real machine are described. On the fixed bed system, the results of dioxines removal in the exhaust gas of a refuse incinerator in a demonstration test are shown.
