| Abstract; This article explains the machining performance and mist reduction of the environment-friendly cutting fluid Unicut Terami Series, a chlorine-free and anti-mist type fluid which does not contain chroride system chemical compounds and that suppresses oil mist generation on cutting works. The machining performance of the chlorine-free cutting fluid and the electric power for grinding of a commercial active sulfosalt oil are compared. The thread grinding machining performance of the Unicut Terami DM15 is evaluated. The effects of fluid viscosity and mist depressant to mist-reduction performance of mist depressant added oil and no added oil are evaluated. The chlorine-free cutting fluid hardly makes a machine tool form rust due to chlorine and reduces the effect on its organic materials. |
