| Abstract; This reporot introduces Nukui dam under construction at Takiyama river in the northwest of Hiroshima Prefect.. It is an arch style concrete dam; the second highest in Japan of the 156m high dam. The plan and investigation have started in 1967 as a direct control business by Ministry of Construction, as a multiple purpose dam, which construction was undertaken in 1977. The average strength required of the concrete mix is 370kgf/cm2, and the standard specified mix proportion includes the mazimum aggregate size 150mm, slump 3cm, water binding material ratio 40%, cement content per unit volume of concrete 220kg/m3, fly ash substitution ratio 30%. By rounded ggregate using a upright rotation centrifugal crusher, the water cotent per unit volume of concrete is decreased to 6-8Kg, and the strength rose to about 100Kg/m3. The concrete construction was carried out by compaction system which inner-vibrates columnlike blocks partitioned in the 15m interval. Installation of the levee body concrete started in 1994, and it finished in 1998. The test flooding starts in the autumn of 1999, and the completion was scheduled to be completed in the fiscal year end of 2001. |
