Abstract; We present a case of renal cell carcinoma with bilateral adrenal metastases. A 77-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with the chief complaint of a right renal mass, which had been detected incidentally by ultrasonography. Computed tomography and angiography revealed a renal cell carcinoma of the right kidney and bilateral adrenal metastases. There was no other metastasis. She underwent radical nephrectomy and bilateral adrenalectomy. Histological examination was compatible with the clinical diagnosis. Supplementary corticosteroids were administered after surgery. The postoperative course has remained uneventful for 27 months with no evidence of recurrence or metastasis. We herein review ten earlier cases of renal cell carcinoma with bilateral adrenal metastases which were previously published in the Japanese literature and discuss these cases together with the current case.
