Abstract; This study aims to reduce a quantity of used coal by mixing with industrial wastes and to establish a system as a waste power plant. The tests were carried out on a fluidized bed boiler of the maximum 70.6T/h evaporation to evaluate the operating characteristics and characters of exhaust gas and the practicability was examined. Wastes such as waste plastics and sludge are mixed with crushed coal to substitute 50% of the total amount of heat from coal-firing. The combustion efficiency of waste was as high as 99%. The determination of harmful gas in the exhaust shows that SO2 can be maintained to a low level by adjustment of the combustion temperature. NOx requires an increase of the ratio of the air to 1.7. HCl is generated from chlorine- containing waste and the reduction required for efficent and safe operation.
