| Abstract;Kawasaki Heavy Industries developed a reduced pressure flotation sludge concentration apparatus as a concentrator of organic sludge arisen as a result of waste water treatment, and it carried out the cooperative research with the Japan Sewage Works Agenc for practical application in 1993 to 1996. The performance and economical efficiency were confirmed from the demonstration experiment data in a sewage-treatment plant. This paper explained the principle of the equipment, the structure including the cylindrical reservoir in the suction side of the sludge pump, capacity and performance together with the features of low costs for installation, maintenance and operation. The application to waste water treatment equipment was prsented. |
