Abstract;Generally, water soluble or insoluble oily agent is used for grinding and cutting and it causes the cost remarkably deterioration of work environment. The authors developed the above-mentioned technology without using the oily agent. This paper outlined the technical development to reduce the use of the oily agent and development status of the recycling system of the oily agent and cutting and explained the processing technique by the authors in which processing point was cooled to -30.DEG.C. with cold air to grind or cut with CBN wheel without using the oily agent. This technique satisfies ISO14000 and shows a higher performance than the case using the oily agent. The outline of the course of the development was described.
