Abstract;A 66-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital for examination of a right adrenal mass, which was incidentally detected by abdominal ultrasonography during examination of microscopic hematuria. Abdominal CT scan showed a round, homogenous low-density lesion between the right kidney and the liver, whereas on MR imaging, the mass had a heterogenous appearance. No abnormal findings were noted during adrenal endocrinological investigations. The patient underwent right adrenalectomy, and the resected tumor was found to be 5.0*4.0*3.0cm in size and 38g in weight. Histological examination revealed that the tumor consisted mostly of mature adipose cells plus some hematopoetic cells. The tumor was finally diagnosed as myelolipoma. (author abst.)
