| Abstract;A case of intrascrotal sclerosing lipogranuloma is reported. A 35-year-old man visited the outpatients department due to the presence of a subcutaneous tumor at a perineal lesion. He had no history of trauma or of injection of a foreign material at the affected site. However he had had oral sexual intercourse with a prostitute and had used a special lubricating gel which was applied to scrotal and penile skin. Pathological diagnosis of the biopsied specimen was sclerosing lipogranuloma. The etiology of this disease is still unclear, however it seems possible that the gel may have caused the disease in this case. (author abst.) |
