Abstract; We report a case of renal pelvic tumor with elevated serum levels of CA19-9 and CEA. An eighty-year-old man suffering from a high fever was admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine in our hospital. Laboratory examinations revealed high serum levels of CA19-9 (5,055U/ml) and CEA (282.5U/ml). Gastroscopy and barium-enema examinations revealed no evidence of a tumor in gastrointestinal systems and pancreas. Both abdominal CT scan and MRI showed left renal pelvic tumor (T4N1M1). However, surgical extirpation and anticancer agents were not indicated because of cardiac and respiratory failure. The pathological findings of specimen from a percutaneous needle biopsy showed squamous cell carcinoma. Some of the carcinoma cells were positive for CA19-9 and CEA by immunohistochemical staining.
