| Abstract;A case of retroperitoneal schwannoma is reported. A 49-year-old woman was referred to our hospital beacause of right hydronephrosis on abdominal ultrasonography. Physical examination revealed no abnormal findings, and laboratory examinations were within normal limits. Ultrasonography, computed tomography, and MRI showed a well-capsulated solid lesion, which was located inside the right kidney i.e., within the retroperitoneal space. The tumor was surgically removed, and weighed 65g. The pathological diagnosis was benign schwannoma. (author abst.) |
