Abstract; An 82-year old woman suffered from sudden onset of weakness of her lower limbs, vertigo and gait disturbance after taking a nap. Her neurological symptoms repidly worsened over a few days and finally cerebellar atrophy was detected on CT and MRI. This morbidity was thought to be paraneoplastic symptoms arising from the remote effect of cancer but not due to metastasis. General examinations of the digestive, gynecological and respiratory organs were performed, but the cancer could not be found anywhere. Microscopic hematuria with class IIIa cytologically was detected and finally bladder cancer was diagnosed. The author offers a brief explanation of paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration(PCD).
