Abstract;Statistical observations on outpatients, inpatients and operations experienced in our department during the 6-year period from 1991 to 1996 revealed the following results: 1) The total number of outpatients was 2,587 and the male to female ratio was 1.5:1. 2) The main diseases were benign prostatic hyperplasia (467 cases), acute cystitis (406 cases), microscopic hematuria (318 cases) and ureteral stone disease (227 cases). 3) The total number of inpatients was 471 and the male to female ratio was 3.2:1. 4) The most frequent disease category among the inpatients was urogenital tumors (43.5%) followed by urolithiasis (25.7%), with the most frequent diseases being ureteral stone disease (106 cases), benign prostatic hyperplasia (102 cases) and prostatic carcinoma (39 cases). 5) Operations were performed in 207 cases. The most frequent operations were transurethral resection of the prostate (68 cases) followed by transurethral resection of bladder tumors (24 cases) and transurethral lithotomy (ureter and bladder) (21 cases).
