| Abstract;The literary remains regarded as a draft of the lecture of the late Professor Hamada was discovered and is outlined, which title is [On recent theories on concrete and present strength of the concrete for construction work in Tokyo region] (1926). Review and theories on the concrete strength are explained, and the approach on the safety factor for setting up of concrete strength is showed. On the strength of reinforced concrete, comparing with the standard of U.S.A., United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, and Germany, it is showed that the safety factor is difficult to be set. The report [strength of the concrete in the early Showa era] has been already published in the architecture magazine 1972. |
