Abstract;This paper reports a research of a method to control the setting and the hardening by adding setting terminator to cement to stop the setting and then by adding the hydration initiator to start the setting.Adding to the cement paste oxycarbonic acid and its salts (citric acid or heptonic acid soda) as the hydration terminator and then using the nitrates of Ma,Al,K,Ca,Fe,Ni as the hydration initiator, the component analysis and the setting time of the liquid phase are measured. By selecting the materials, the hydration is able to start after few day top by the hydration terminator, and the combination with which the strength does not deteriorate was able to be obtained. The effect of the metal salt is big for the effect of the hydration initiator, especially in the insoluble metal. It is considered that the added metal ion precipitates as hydroxide and makes the terminator in the liquid phase precipitate and then setting resumes by the effect that the terminator adhering to the cement is liberated into the liquid phase.
