Abstract;Single-dose percutaneous toxicity of OCT was investigated in Beagle dogs(Beagle/CEK). Animals were received 1,10 and 100.MU.g/kg of OCT, and were observed for 14 days. Each treatment group was consisted of 2 females. One animal of 100.MU.g/kg group showed polyuria on Day 3,4, and after Day 10 with the increased water consumption after Day 3. Blood biochemistry examination in this animal revealed the increased serum calcium, blood urea nitrogen and creatinine after Day 1 or 2 until the end of observation period. No OCT treatment related toxicity was observed in 1 and 10.MU.g/kg groups. From above results, the maximum tolerate dose of OCT in this study was more than 100.MU.g/kg. . (author abst.)
