Abstract;Taking an opportunity of reconstructing the titled waste disposal plant, the existing power generation from urban waste was replaced with a super power generation from urban waste by changing a steam turbine to a gas turbine. Steam is superheated by waste heat of a 8,000kW gas turbine to increase the steam turbine output from 20,400kW to 28,300kW. As a result, the generating end combined efficiency becomes over 25%, and the repowering efficiency exceeds 60%. Of 3 incinerators, 2 units are in operation at present. 6,000kW power is consumed in the plant and a sewage purification center close to the plant, while the rest power is sold to electric power companies.
