Abstract;The Friedel-Crafts reaction is one of the most fundamental C-C bond forming reactions in organic synthesis. However, its application to asymmetric synthesis of organofluorine compounds has been quite limited. We report the asymmetric Friedel-Crafts reaction with fluoral catalyzed be chiral BINOL-Ti complexes. Furthermore, when a silyl enol ether is employed as a substrate, the Friedel-Crafts-type Mukoyama aldol product, namely the silyl enol ether was obtained. (author abst.)
