| Abstract;Methyl difluoroiodeacetate (1) and copper powder react to generate an organocopper reagent, which has been used for cross-coupling reaction to give organofluorine compounds. However, 1 is not commercially available and three equivalent 1 were necessary for formation of the fluorine compound. To solve these problems, we examined the reaction of ethyl bromodifluoroacetate (2) that is commercially available. DMSO was found to be the most suitable solvent to obtain 2,2-difluoroester. High yields of fluorine compounds were obtained, even if only 1 eq. of 2 was used. These results suggest that DMSO will contribute to stabilization of the organocopper reagent. (author abst.) |
