| Abstract;The inhibitory effects of persimrnon leaf extract on Type I and Type IV allergic responses were examined. Persimmon leaf extract inhibited the release of histamine from human basophilic leukemia cells (KU812) stimulated with anti-Fc .EPSILON. receptor monoclonal antibody (CRA-1) , the 24-h homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) reaction in mice, and contact dermatitis induced by 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB) in mice. These results indicate that persimmon leaf extract possesses an anti-allergic action. (author abst.) |
