Abstract;Discolored seawater around Satsuma-Iwojima island, southwest Japan was studied using ASTER simulation data using measured spectrum at the sea surface and chemical composition of precipitation in the seawater. The spectrum depended on chemical composition, and the trend of the spectrum was corresponded with JERS-1/OPS data. Results of evaluation show the activity of submarine volcano will be estimated more effectively with ASTER data. (author abst.)
