Abstract;Recently, it has been clear that the difference of the heat capacity of surface due to the covering material and the existence of the structure influences the rising of air temperature in the heat island and the earth-warming problem. Remote sensing technology has advantages that can be acquire the information in the wide area at a time, and it can be the technique that effective in measuring of the heat capacity of earth surface. The fundamental research using infrared radiometer and shallow underground temperature profiler are applied for the fundamental study of the measurement of the heat capacity of earth surface.
