| Abstract; Most treatments of malocclusion in dentistry aim principally at mechanical improvement of the occlusion. Consequently, there are cases in which numerous vague clinical symptoms that are considered to be accessory symptoms of malocclusion, such as stiffness in the shoulders, stiffness in the neck, lumbago, backache, dizziness, and fatigue of the feet, fail to improve even after treatment. Dr. Tominaga, one of the authors of the present report, tried using Sotai-therapy(a therapy to adjust distortions in the mind and body by body actions and physical exercises), which was introduced by Dr. Keizo Hashimoto, concomitant with the usual mechanical treatment of malocclusion. The combined therapy was found to be effective against malocclusion, restoring normal balance to the total vertebral column, including the cervical vertebrae, which located near the occlusion, the thoracic vertebrae, and the lumbar vertebrae. In this paper, we report the results of observation of changes in Keiraku systems before and after Sotai-therapy by using an instrument for measuring the electrical functions of Seiketsu acupoints and the skin surface(AMI).
