| Abstract; The plasma concentration profile and safety of CS-905 during administration for 7 days were studied in elderly hypertensive patients. 1) The AUC0-24 on day 7 was 2.1 times larger than that on day 1. 2) The systemic clearance on day 7 was lower than that on day 1. 3) The plasma drug concentration reached a steady state within 1 week during repeated administration. 4) The side effects noted were an increased eosinophil count and contact dermatitis, both of which occurred in one patient. Laboratory tests showed that Cl increased after treatment. Consequently, it is not considered necessary to change the regular dose unless there is a problem regarding efficacy or safety.
