Abstract;A 58-year-old man presented with left flank pain. Urological examinations including IVP, RP and abdominal CT revealed spontaneous rupture of the left renal pelvis. The rupture was thought to be caused by a ureteral stone at the site of the PUJ demonstrated only by KUB. Insertion of a ureteric stent into the left ureter alleviated the symptoms. Placement of a ureteric stent is useful for the treatment of spontaneous repture of the renal pelvis. (author abst.)
