Abstract;Though the floor heating exhibits high amenity, it requires a large area because of the ristriction in the surface temperature of a floor directly touched with the human body so that it takes the time for startup. Therefore, a simulation program for simply evaluating the heating effects and the startup time was developed. The calculation was performed by difference calculus and finite element methods on the supposition that the room air temperature is uniform and the heat conduction in a wall and radiant heat transfer between wall surfaces are taken into consideration. The program was confirmed to calculate them in a short time by a personal computer and showed high accuracy compared with the experiment measured data in a practical dwelling house.
