| Abstract;This paper reports an observation tour to Bintle LNG liquefaction base in Sarawak State, East Mlaysia, Borneo Island. A large quantity of natural gas was discovered in Malaysia in 1968, the National Petroleum Company plays a key role for the development, and the Bintle base started operations in 1983 as a joint coporation by the lead of the company. The present productivity is 15,400,000t/year and planned to be enhanced to 23 million t/year in total, thereby becoming the largest LNG base in the world. LNG is exported to Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc. |
